Core Values at Optimax Energy: From the idea to a living culture


Our values, our drive


Core values are at the heart of a strong corporate culture - but only if they are truly lived - from interns to managers and CEOs. At Optimax Energy, we didn't define our values from above, we developed them as a team. About three years ago, we asked ourselves the following questions: What makes us successful as a company? What characterizes our cooperation?


In workshops, discussions and team meetings, we worked out together which principles unite us and which values should serve as our guidelines. This is how our core values were created - authentic, from within the team and firmly anchored in our daily work.

Why are core values important?


Without guidelines, there is no orientation. Core values give us clarity about what is important to us - in our daily interactions, when making decisions and in recruiting.


On the one hand, our values are a promise to our employees that we are creating a working environment in which everyone can grow and make a difference.


On the other hand, our core values also have an enormous external impact - they represent us and help applicants to assess whether we are a good fit and whether they would ultimately like to work with us.


They therefore not only help us to work together even better as a team, but also to find new colleagues who identify with our culture and our way of working (#CulturalFit)


How we live our core values


We strive to actively live our core values and work hard to promote them. And because culture evolves, we regularly challenge our values - to ensure that they continue to reflect what we stand for.


Core values are only effective if they are brought to life. That is why we have formulated our values not as abstract concepts, but as concrete actions.

A few examples from the everyday lives of our colleagues show how we at Optimax Energy make our core values tangible:


 

We evolve by learning and sharing

10% of my working time for learning? Sounds good at first, but in practice, it's a game-changer! I really enjoy taking advantage of the opportunity to continue my education during working hours on a regular basis. Last year, I threw myself into CISSP, CCNA and open source DevOps tools - I expand my knowledge exactly where I want to and where it really helps me, and at the same time my projects also benefit from the new skills.” - Lukas, IT Security


Whether it's a new technology, a top certification in your own field or management and soft skills - we have no fixed limits. The professional and personal development of our employees is extremely important to us and is one of our most important values.
